Japanese firm torafu architects have conceived 'clopen', a shelf that doubles as a streamlined drawer. The slender 34mm thick panel is constructed from elaborate aluminum parts, clad with sliced veneer to looks as if the piece is fabricated from natural wood. 'Clopen' is able to be opened with magnetic keys, and when pulled, a secret 23mm thick drawer is revealed.
