Mind Controlled Prothetic Arm Gets FDA Approval (video)


We've written about mind controlled prosthetics before... but now, one designed by Segway inventor got the official FDA approval... it is called the DEKA Arm. Check it out in the video below: 
This is incredible news in the advancement of prosthetics since the design and technology of prothetic limbs haven't advanced much since World War II...
The arm is controlled by electromyogram electrodes placed on the remaining portion of the human arm. Those sensors pick up electric signals from muscle movements in the upper arm, and a computer in the robotic arm can tell what type of maneuver the user wants to make.
