Microsoft's Incredible Augmented Reality Display: MirageTable (video demo)



Check out this video demo of a holographic telepresence display concept from Microsoft Research. The display set-up called the MirageTable is powered by Kinect with 3D glasses and allows real-time human-computer interaction via augmented reality....

To make that happen, the setup relies on a ceiling-mounted 3D projector to display the images on a curved surface, while a Kinect on each end of the connection both captures the person's image and tracks their gaze to ensure images are displayed with the proper perspective.
