Apple's Pico Projector Patent

Apple sure has a bright future still ahead of them... and by the looks of this patent filed it's looking really cool too :)
Apple plans on incorporating projection display technology to their iPhone and iPads as well as a mini-projector that can be plugged into a laptop.
Cupertino's "Projected Display Shared Workspaces" patent application details a utopian universe wherein tiny projectors are connected to Apple products, with communication links across devices that allow for the sharing of image data between projected displays in the aforementioned "shared workspaces." Oh, and included cameras let the user interact with the displays via gestures, Wii-style, which puts our old projector shadow puppet shows to shame.

This would of course render the map inaccurate in several other ways, but it would definitely simplify navigation compared to the current Maps app.
