Listen up designers...!
Autodesk brings you a new design program called called Photofly which allows you to take your 2D photographs and convert them into a 3D wire model, in-turn allowing you to print the photo subject onto a 3D printer. Incredible!
...it works by overlapping around 40 photos, to detect the exact measurements of the object, within 99 per cent accuracy of the real thing. This is also great news for model makers and hobbyist that need that extra part for their model airplane... just take a couple photos and 'Presto!'
Currently this is technology is only available on Windows... it's only a matter of time until it is available for OSX as well.
