Japanese Company Wants to put Solar Panels on the Moon.

Japanese company Shimizu Corporation has had their eye on the moon for a some time now. They currently have a plan to cover the moon with a 6,800 mile-long band spanning the length of the light side of the moon along its equator. 
...providing "13,000 terawatts of continuous solar energy being transmitted back to receiving stations on Earth, either by laser or microwave.
