Below are a few photos, a video walk-through and the floorplan of an apartment in the UK that sold for $221 million back in 2007, that's aproximately $9,500 a square foot...! The anonymous Ukranian paid for the penthouse in cash through an offshore trust... must be nice, huh?
What does $221 million get you?
In this case, three whole floors in One Hyde Park, which was completed this past January. Plus the building's many amenities, including a "dedicated team of 60 Mandarin Oriental hotel trained staff," a "private cinema" and bulletproof windows. (Because what's the point of being rich if you can't be paranoid?) The building is also made from "15 different types of stone," if that's the kind of thing that gets you going. Anyway: If you want one of these flats, you'd better act now, as most of them have apparently been sold.Don't have the cash for the four-bedroom penthouse apartment...? Don't worry there are also units available going for a mere $10 million (pocket-change)...
....makes my apartment back in college seem tiny and cheap.... oh,wait.... it was :(
