Whiskey Made from Someone's Piss....

Yup, you read correctly... The Gilpin Family Whisky is a single malt that only takes a couple weeks to make and it's made from the urine from elderly diabetics... seriously!
Why elderly diabetics? Because "large amounts of sugar are excreted on a daily basis by type-two diabetic patients, especially amongst the upper end of our aging population." That sugar is removed by purifying the urine and then added to the mash stock to accelerate the fermentation process. So yeah, it's filtered and fermented and all that good stuff but dude, it's still piss.
Currently the Gilpin Family Whiskey is being given away as a public health statement and currently not for sale. This is terrible news, because I was really looking forward in spending money to drink someone else's recycled Pee...
