New Tech Reveals What Ancient Greek and Roman Statues Looked Like.

The photo above is not a joke or a poorly painted souvenir...
The photo is in fact an accurate color representation of what the ancient Greek and Roman statues looked like back in the hay-day... pretty gaudy huh? A combonation of ultraviolet, infrared and X-ray spectroscopy revealed this color palette for the sculpture of Caesar Augustus (pictured above).
