Harvesting Wind Energy With Field of Windstalks.

Will this Windstalk concept make traditional wind turbines a relic...? Many think the turbines blemish the skyline, with the Windstalk concept the landscape is complimented with these, wheat field inspired, kinetic energy 'stalks' that harness energy by simply blowing in the wind.
Each of the 1,203 stalks are 55 meters high and made of reinforced carbon fiber. Within each stalk are piezeoelectric discs and electrodes that generate current which is stored in two chambers that act as a battery.
The Windstalk remains a concept, although its creators say that “It is based on a set of systems that already exist and work.”
