5,000 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in San Francisco.
Looks like the Electric Car is getting some support in the San Francisco area. Turns out the Department of Energy is shelling out $5 million to install 5,000 electric vehicle [EV] charging stations in the Bay area. 50 fast-charging stations along highways, 2,000 public stations in parking lots and 3,000 residential charging stations. This is encouraging news for EV owners and future owners alike and with gas prices and pollution on the rise, it's good to know we have public presence of another alternative for our vehicles. With a large installation like this, I'm sure we'll be seeing more EV charging stations popping up in other cities across the nation.
