Whether if your a parent or a dog owner, one thing is for sure... you do not want to lose the one you love.
With the Lost & Find designed by Chet Rosales, the worry is put to ease with these integrated GPS wristbands and dog collars. Next time your in a crowded public area or taking a walk in the wilderness, simply put the wristband or dog collar on your wondering child or dog. If they get out of sight just open the App on your mobile device and track their location via Google Maps or built-in camera with an Augmented Reality viewer.
On the Map mode (landscape view), your lost one is located by displaying their photo and distance away (i.e. Jack - 150 ft. away). With a simple tap on the App, the child's wristband will light up, vibrate and beep to alert the child you are looking for them. With the Augmented Reality mode (portrait view), just hold the phone up and scan the area around you with the built-in camera and virtual compass until you see their image pop-up on the screen physically pointing you in their direction. On the bottom left hand corner also displays a handy proximity/compass dial. Additionally the App will be able to support multiple wristbands and collars at the same time and also come in a variety of different colors.
Although still a concept, the Lost & Find would be supported by Droid, Windows 7 and the iPhone (if Apple will allow 3rd party hardware in the future).
