Invisibility Cloak a Reality?

Science fiction movies got this one right from the beginning, from Harry Potter, Star Trek and name a few. Turns out that science-fiction just may become a reality thanks to a few German scientists.

The researchers placed a "cloak" over a tiny lump of gold and distorted the lighting, hitting so it appeared invisible.
"When we looked at it through a lens and did spectroscopy, no matter what angle we looked at the object from, we saw nothing. The bump became invisible."

Although years away from seeing this technology come to practical use, researchers say it could be as soon as ten years away!
